Site Upgrades & New Features Now Live!

We've just pushed a major update to the site, focusing on security, community features, and a brand-new News/Blog system. Here's a rundown of what's new:
You're reading this on our new platform! We can now post official site news and articles (like this one).
To improve security and fight spam, we've launched a new email verification system.
This is the most important part of the update: You must be verified to post content.
This new rule applies to:
Unverified users can still browse all content, but you'll see a notice instead of a reply box until you verify your email.
We've made a ton of small visual updates to tie the whole site together.

# 1. The All-New News & Blog System
You're reading this on our new platform! We can now post official site news and articles (like this one).
- New Article Layout: We've built a sleek new two-column layout for reading articles, with the comment section "stickied" to the side for easy access as you scroll.
- Comments Section: Every post now has its own comment section, perfect for discussions.
- Likes & Views: You can see how popular an article is with view and like counts, and comment counts are visible right from the main news page.
- Easy Navigation: "Next" and "Previous" article links have been added to make browsing a breeze.
# 2. New User Verification System
To improve security and fight spam, we've launched a new email verification system.
- Email Verification: All new accounts must now be verified via an email link. This is a crucial step to ensure all users are legitimate.
- Resend Emails: If you're an existing user who isn't verified, a banner will follow you around the site. You can also go to your User Settings page or click here to get a new verification email.
# 3. Posting & Content Restrictions
This is the most important part of the update: You must be verified to post content.
This new rule applies to:
- Replying to forum threads
- Creating new forum threads
- Commenting on news articles (like this one!)
- Liking news articles

# 4. UI & Profile Polish
We've made a ton of small visual updates to tie the whole site together.
- User Profiles: Your profile page now clearly shows your "Verified" status and displays your online/offline status as a colored ring around your avatar.
- User List Page: The user bubbles are back and now have a subtle background tint based on your custom user color.
- Thread Pages: The user info box in threads has been redesigned to match the profile page, showing your role as subtext and your avatar's online status.
- Landing Page: We've polished the homepage and updated the sidebar to point new users to our new, secure registration page.
