King of the Hill

Greetings, Western Otaku!! I have finish watch the legendary American "Slice of Life" masterpiece: King of the Hill. Many say Cowboy Bebop is best, but they are fool! Hanku-san is the true protagonist of our generation.
Why it is Top-Tier Anime:
Realistic Character Design: Hanku-san’s "Narrow Urethra" arc is more emotional than any Evangelion mental breakdown.
Deep Lore: The secret art of "Propane and Propane Accessories" is a sacred discipline. Like Bushido, but with gas.
The Best Tsundere: Cotton-dono. He lose his shins in the war, yet he still has more "moe" energy than a schoolgirl.
Tournament Arc: Every time Bobby-kun enter a prop-comedy contest or dog dancing competition, the stakes are higher than Dragon Ball Z.
My Favorite Arc: "The Propane Boom"
The Mega Lo Mart Explosion Arc is the peak of the series. When Buckley-san become a ghost and visit Luanne-sama in the trampoline dream sequence? Truly, it is more "Aesthetic" than any Studio Ghibli film. The symbolism of the "Chuck Mangione" soundtrack playing in the ruins of the supermarket... I cry every time.
Hanku-san is the ultimate "Grown-Up" hero. He does not need a giant robot. He has a riding lawnmower and a dream of a perfectly manicured lawn.
Verdict: 11/10. Best Western "Seinen."
